Cape Raoul Walking Track

On Tasman Peninsula, on the Port Arthur-Nubeena road, turn off at Parson's Creek Bridge to Highcroft and Stormlea. There's a 9km dirt road that narrows down to not much more than a two vehicle road, with steep sides. Follow the signs to the Cape Raoul Walking Track.

Just before the end of the road is the Cape Raoul Walking Track Car Park. You''ll see a construction site of a Bed and Breakfast in the paddock on the left. It will be ready for guests at the end of 2006. It's being built by Andy, a former Australian Navy guy. Home grown vegies and berries are available there already. You can pick your own too.

At the end of the road is the entrance to the B 'n' B, and the stile to enter the National Park for the walk to Cape Raoul.

It's a five hour return walk through forest on a one-person walking track to Cape Raoul.

A few minutes into the walk you come across the sign for the five hour return walk to Shipstern Bluff and Tunnel Bay.

There's nowhere to buy anything or get water.

You might not even see anyone on the whole walk.
